iPhone / iPad... How to solve problems sending email when using Three, Orange, EE etc (port 25 being blocked) | |
Some mobile networks (4G/5G etc), such as Three mobile, EE and Orange block the standard port used to send email (port 25). They usually block this internationally standardized port to prevent you sending emails in case you're sending spam... very small minded, very annoying, and a very out of date approach to block you using your internet connection properly.
Note - it's the ISP or WiFi provider blocking you from sending emails, not us. The instructions below create a workaround.
Use SSL - Turned on (green checked) Authentication - MD5 Challenge-Response Server port - 81
