Someone who is trying to email me doesn't have SPF records setup properly, what should I tell them to do?
Problem

Emails from someone you want to receive emails from (eg a client, supplier, friend or family member) are going into your junk mail folder.

We've looked into this for you, and explained this is hapenning because the person who is emailing you doesn't have their anti-spam SPF (Sender Policy Framework) records setup correctly on their domain name by their email/IT provider.


What can be done about this

This will most likely be causing the person who is trying to send you emails problems sending email in general (not just to you) as having the SPF records on their domain name setup correctly has been an anti-spam requirement for most email providers for many years now.

The first thing that you can do is to add this person to your whitelist, as explained in this FAQ by clicking here.

The second thing you can do is tell the person who is having problems emailing you, so they can tell their email/IT provider. Just ask the person who is emailing you to provide their email/IT provider with this information...

Emails are not being sent properly or are going into junk mail as SPF records on my domain name are not set up, or not set up correctly.
